Emergency / Critical Care

  • 24 Hour Emergency Care
  • Continuous care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
  • Veterinarian and trained licensed technicians always in attendance
  • Intensive Care Unit

If your pet is injured or suddenly develops a life-threatening disease, this constitutes a veterinary emergency. East End Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center is a 24-hour emergency center for cats, dogs and exotic species. Our trained veterinarians and technical staff are available 365 days a year. If you think your pet is experiencing an emergency condition, please call us immediately at 631-369-4513.


The Following is an Incomplete List of Pet Emergencies:

  • Hit by a car
  • Having trouble urinating, or is not producing urine
  • Unwilling or unable to eat or drink
  • Having difficulty breathing
  • Bite wound or burn injury
  • Shock - signs of shock can include weakness, pale mucous membranes in the mouth, cold extremities, and an abnormal heart rate
  • Abnormal heart rhythm
  • Having trouble walking or improper balance
  • Coma
  • Seizures
  • Recently undergone surgery and is not recovering as well as expected
  • Drowning
