Cory Arminio
Dear Dr. Lombardi and the entire staff at Pet ER:
Thank you! It has been three weeks since our dog's Cory' surgery and the twinkle in his eyes have returned.
Our journey began about a month ago; Cory could barely stand or walk. We discovered he completely tore his ACL. We met with two other surgeons before we elected to go with Dr. Lombardi. Dr. Lombardi's bedside manner made us feel very comfortable, she took a great deal of time explaining the procedure, the risks, complications and the steps to recovery. She answered all our questions and concerns, she was very patient. Immediately after meeting her, we felt so comfortable we scheduled Cory's surgery.
After the surgery Dr. Lombardi took the time to call us personally to update us on Cory's progress. When we picked Cory up Sandra Dowd (Physical Rehabilitation) took the time to go over everything Cory needed, reviewing which pills to take a what time, how to walk him, details about the kennel he was going to need and more. Sandra also recommended a specific diet for Cory advising us what to feed him and how often (he needs to loose 15-20) We did not have everything we needed to bring Cory home, so Sandra kept Cory at the hospital so we could go to the store and purchase the kennel so we could set up as soon as we brought Cory home.
During the past three weeks, I have called the hospital with several questions; each staff member I spoke with took the time to answer every question I had.
In the past few weeks Cory has made so much progress, he is happy; he is standing again on his own on all four legs and is doing very well on his short walks. We made the best decision electing Dr. Lombardi. We made the best decision having surgery performed at Pet ER Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center. Although Cory's recovery period is not over, we can already see so much progress. And he has even lost 5 lbs on his new diet!
Thank you for everything, we appreciate all you have done. Sincerely,
Lauren Arminio & Family

Winston Lisa
Winston is not just our dog, he is our family. When he starting favoring his right hind leg this past summer, we immediately brought him to see Dr. Lombardi. Winston first met Dr. Lombardi in 2010 after he suffered a jaw fracture that required surgical repair. Dr. Lombardi not only corrected Winston's injury with ultimate precision, she provided confidence and peace of mind for us that Winston's health and functioning would be restored. So when she diagnosed Winston with a partial tear of his cruciate ligament this past summer, we knew that Dr. Lombardi would be able to get Winston patched up. Sure enough, Dr. Lombardi fixed Winston's leg perfectly. She provided detailed instructions on his recovery, and was available by phone any time we needed clarification or had a concern about his progress. Dr. Lombardi checked on Winston's leg many times throughout the healing process, and was diligent in making sure that he made a complete recovery. Thanks to Dr. Lombardi, Winston is able to use his jaw and his leg perfectly. Dr. Lombardi is kind, caring, and compassionate. It is evident that not only is she an excellent veterinarian, she truly cares about the health and well being of her patients and their families.
Winston's recovery from the leg surgery was not without bumps in the road. When he developed severe esophagitis, he was treated by Drs. Collins, Jaeger, Vatash, and Rothman. Each time we came to EEVESC Winston was thoroughly assessed and provided with excellent treatment. We always felt confident about Winston's health being in the hands of the EEVESC team, even during a period of time when it was not clear why Winston was so sick. When his condition continued to worsen, we were referred to Dr. Parente, the internal medicine specialist. Dr. Parente saved Winston's life. Winston was at a point that he was no longer able to swallow food. He had lost a significant amount of weight, and we still did not know what was wrong. In addition to seeing Dr. Parente at EEVESC, we talked to Dr. Parente on the phone almost everyday for several weeks. Even when he was not in the office, Dr. Parente returned my calls, took the time (a lot of time) to listen to all of our concerns, and helped us choose the best course of action for Winston. Ultimately, Dr. Parente correctly diagnosed Winston's rare condition (espohageal stricture) and was able to surgically repair Winston's esophagus. Even though I was nervous for Winston, I knew he was in great hands! Winston made a wonderful recovery from this condition and is healthy again.
After many trips to EEVESC, one would think that Winston would dread walking through those doors. Another exam, perhaps an overnight stay, surgery, who knows. Well, Winston still eagerly walks into EEVESC! He greets the doctors and office staff happily. Winston is confident too that when he is there, he will be taken care of. Aside from the wonderful doctors, the EEVESC staff is incredible. They have always made us feel welcome to stay while we wait to hear how Winston is doing. When we call to check on him we are happily greeted and given detailed updates. If we have a question, there is always someone available to take our call. In addition, EEVESC keeps our local veterinarian completely aprised of Winston's progress to provide that important continuity of care.
Thanks to this amazing team of veterinarians and their staff, Winston is happy and healthy. He has returned his focus to chasing squirrels, eating treats, being a big brother to our baby, and loving and protecting his family. Our gratitude for the care and expertise of EEVESC is beyond words. We sincerely feel so fortunate to have EEVESC to rely on for Winston's health needs. Thank you, as always, for everything you have done for Winston, our family.
With love,
The Lisa Family
Brie Carone
Dear Dr. Magda, Dr. Jaeger, Dr. Vatash and all the staff at ER,
Thank you for all that you did for Brie. She is my best friend and I was so worried about her. Dr. Magda, thank you for monitoring Brie throughout the night. I am so grateful she was able to pull through with your help. Dr. Jaeger, thank you for keeping a close eye on her throughout the day. Finally, to one of my favorite veterinarians, Dr. Vatash, thank you for showing and explaining Brie’s x-rays with me. Since Sammy the hamster you have helped me a great deal.
Sincerely,

Nell Ciampaglia
To all of the wonderful folks at the EEVEC:
This is just a short note to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts. Words cannot express our gratitude to you for the unwavering dedication, care, and most of all love you gave to Nell while she battled her disease.
We could tell right away from Nell’s reaction to you all that she was receiving nothing but the best of care. We always thought Nell was a very good judge of character, and we knew she loved you all very much, as we do. We are all the better for having known all of you. You have made our difficult journey easier.
Thank you too for taking the time to save us some of Nell’s fur and making us her footprint. We will treasure it always.
Take good care all,
Love,
Ann & Nancy (For Nell)
Katie Burns

Jake Schider
Drs. Jaeger, Goldfarb and Staff,
Your efforts to make our dog Jake comfortable and her death dignified means a lot to us.
Jake used your hospital quite a few times and did not seem stressed there as she did on her regular vet visits. This is a testimony to your caring, kind and attentive staff. We also appreciate the consideration and thoughtfulness shown to us during a difficult time.
Sincerely,
Pam & Steve Schider.

Buddy Wood
To all doctors & employees,
You guys were a wonderful help to my dog Buddy. He saved our life by warning us there had been a gas leak. If it wasn’t for him, we wouldn’t be here today. Since he saved our lives, now its our turn to save his. He’s a wonderful dog and will always be! If you guys hadn’t helped Buddy, I don’t know what I’d do without him. Thank you guys so much for your help and concern. If any problems occur with Buddy again, we’ll bring him to you!
Thank you,
Denise, David & Buddy Wood
Maggie Weisman
To the Staff:
Steve and I are so very grateful for the wonderful care you took of our dog, Maggie. She came to you in pain, barely able to walk (having completely torn her ACL) and is now nearly back to full activity. Not only did Dr. Lombardi do an outstanding job diagnosing the problem and performing the surgery, she did an excellent job of “walking” us through the procedure-patiently answering all our questions, both before and after. She was there for us, too, during the recovery period, “nursing” both Maggie and us with skill and caring.
Special thanks also to Sandra in your physical therapy department, who guided us through a customized rehabilitation program that contributed greatly to Maggie’s recovery.
Finally, we would like to thank the other staff members-many. I’m sure, we never met- who helped take care of Maggie. Their professionalism helped make Maggie – and us- comfortable through what could have been a much more difficult experience.
Sincerely yours,
Sally and Steve Weisman
Cubby
I could not be more impressed by your physical rehabilitation department. From the initial prompt response to my inquiries, to the evaluation process, to the therapy sessions, the experience was both professional and personal. And the results were incredible. Even my vet was amazed at the rate of Cubby’s improvement. I found particular comfort in the care and thoroughness of the process. Sandra and Jen took the time to get to know Cubby – his personality, his intelligence, his quirks and limitations. During the course of each session, as Cubby was put through his paces, any necessary modifications to the plan were easily implemented. Following each session, my vet received a report of Cubby’s progress. The prescribed Home Plan was detailed (with pictures) and easy to understand and follow. I was impressed with the ease with which Cubby’s exercises could be adapted to our everyday environment so that, at any given point in the day, we could apply some aspect of the therapy program at home. Most important to me was Cubby’s progress in the hands of caring professionals. Our sessions were always focused and personal. We began as strangers, but Cubby and I now have new friends. Thank you.
