Dr. Kramer received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University, and from there he went on to do both his internship and residency at The Animal Medical Center. He is board-certified in Cardiology, a Professor of Cardiology at Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine, and a founder of a veterinary medical device company that focuses on cardiac and pulmonary problems. 

As a practicing veterinary cardiologist, aside from medical cardiology, his main area of interest is interventional cardiology, including transcatheter mitral valve replacement, pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty, and PDA, VSD, and ASD occlusions.
