Magdalena Marcinczyk

Dr. Magdalena (“Maggie”) Marcinczyk was born in Poland and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from CUNY Hunter College while simultaneously working as a marine mammal keeper at the New York Aquarium. She then received her Veterinary Medical Degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Marcinczyk completed a residency in anatomic pathology at Cornell University from 2021 to 2024 and became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2024.

After realizing she missed working directly with patients, Dr. Marcinczyk pursued specialized training in emergency and critical care through a mentorship program at the Veterinary Referral Center in Pennsylvania before joining our team. She brings a unique perspective to emergency medicine through her extensive training in pathology, allowing her to combine diagnostic expertise with hands-on patient care.

Outside of work, Dr. Marcinczyk enjoys spending time with her husband, Julien, their twin boys, and their dog, Zoey (their firstborn). When there is time to spare, she enjoys going to the beach and traveling.
